Your guide to Notchi’s Dynamic Island
Notchi puts companion pets and useful information beside your iPhone’s notch, with a pet room in the expanded Island and a Live Activity on the Lock Screen.
Start with Miso and Notchi
New users meet Miso on the left and the ultraviolet Notchi ghost on the right in a four-step introduction. Use Next and Back to explore Compact Left, Compact Right, Expanded, and Lock Screen. Completing the introduction saves this free starter pair. No account or data permission is needed for these two companions.
Choose and customize each display area
Swipe between display areas on the Island page. Choose Style opens a grouped gallery, with included choices first, followed by Weather, Today, Health & Fitness, Device, and companion collections. Selecting a style previews it on your phone model. Edit opens the controls relevant to the selected style, such as pet actions, animation rotation, colors, fonts, weather units, or goals.
Each Miso animation is included for free, along with Notchi’s ultraviolet Rest animation. Other characters, animations, colors, and premium features require Pro. Premium previews show a PRO badge.
Use left and right together
The compact Island has separate left and right slots. Pair two pets, or combine a companion with a useful reading. Eyes are selected as one paired character and occupy both sides. Favorites, recent selections, and saved Island setups help you return to a combination.
Start a Live Activity
Open Island options and choose Start on my Island. On an iPhone with Dynamic Island, the compact slots appear alongside the sensor housing. Touch and hold to expand the Island. The expanded view and Lock Screen Live Activity focus on your companions; iOS controls their visibility, updates, and animation.
A Live Activity can remain active for up to eight hours. Settings includes an Apple Shortcuts guide for scheduling the Restart Island action. iOS can stop or defer a session or automation; uninterrupted display is not guaranteed.
Connect only the information you choose
Gallery readings are samples. A weather style lets you search for a city or connect approximate location, then uses Apple Weather. Features that use Health, Calendar, Reminders, your music library, or selected photos present the access they need when selected. Declining access leaves a stable unavailable state rather than a made-up live reading.

Understand Pro and device access
Pro is offered monthly, annually, or as a lifetime purchase through Apple. There are no individual pack purchases. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew until canceled; lifetime does not renew. Apple displays your local price before confirmation.
Sign in with Apple or Google for purchase verification and private downloads. Pro is limited to one active device per Notchi account; account settings provide a transfer option. Restore checks previous purchases. See Terms of Use and Support for help.
Check iPhone compatibility
Notchi requires iOS 26 or later. Dynamic Island features require an iPhone with Dynamic Island hardware. Live Activities depend on iOS and your settings. iPhone Duo previews remain coming soon.
